About Me

I am a psychiatrist, which means that I completed medical school and a four-year psychiatric residency at an accredited hospital. I have completed the following degrees/training: Bachelor of Arts in Music, Brown University; Medical Degree, Brown University; Psychiatric Residency, Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Training Program. I am a Candidate Analyst at the Lacan School of Psychoanalysis and a Courtesy Clinical Assistant Professor for the University of Washington's School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. I am licensed as a physician in the states of California and Washington.

My practice is focused on providing psychoanalytically informed psychiatric treatment  for those ages 18 and over. My approach to psychoanalytic treatment is based on a Freudian and Lacanian conceptualization of the unconscious. However, there may be times when I utilize a psychotherapeutic or biomedical orientation, which will be based on my clinical assessment of your presentation. I also provide psychoanalytically-informed psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and psychotherapy. Please note that I do not offer appointments without the inclusion of some degree of psychotherapy. For this reason, most routine psychiatry visits will last somewhere between 30-60 minutes.
